About Us

The origins of Isaan Air can be traced back to 1979, when the Airline Buddha was born at the Eve of Deregulation. His teachings about the true essence and aphorisms of commercial aviation has given us a doctrine on how to operate successfully.  We are part of Issara Air Group, a registered company in the Republic of Isaan.  When Isaan declared Independence from Thailand, a national airline was essential, thus Isaan Air was born.  During the fight for Isaan Independence, Isaan Air started out flying clandestine operations with aid from the United States, knowing that the US would benefit from a Southeast Asian nation based on the US government and its principles.  Isaan is considered an American Free State of Asia with strong ties to the US and unofficially the 51st State.  Isaan Air provided military air support during the Isaan Revolution.  Once the Republic of Isaan was officially established in the new Capital City of Khon Kaen, Isaan Air could now start commercial operations.

Tomorrow, Isaan Air will fly to every country in Southeast Asia and to business/leisure destinations in East and South Asia.

In choosing new destinations, Isaan Air voluntarily considers cities with rich competition and flies till the other Airlines no longer exists.  This underlines the airline's commitment to help the people develop their full potential and to promote the model of how good an airline can be.

Outside our commercial aviation division, we also provide ground support and our pilots are fully trained in ground support, strike, and clandestine missions.  We maintain a fleets of Douglas Sky Raiders and squadrons of the Isaan F-18 Super Hornets out of Nakhon Phanom to carry out missions during the Thai Civil War.  Our pilots were famous in successfully operating AC-130 Gun ships to cover the Isaan Rangers during the Battle of Chiang Mai to distract the Thai during the Siege of Korat.  One of our F-4E squadrons is run by our President and has downed over the last remaining 20 jets of the RTAF and over 17 Thai Airways jets that illegally entered Isaan Airspace. The Isaan Air Industries in Udon-Thani has been successful at restarting the Fairchild-Republic production line with new generation A-10 Thunderbolt, McDonnell Douglas F-18s, and various other defense aircraft.
