Boeing 717-200
The 100 seat 717 is the
latest development of
the popular
DC-9/MD-80/MD-90 family
and the only Douglas
airliner which Boeing
(which merged with
McDonnell Douglas in
1997) plans to retain in
its product line-up. It
is designed for high
cycle, short range
regional airline
operations. Isaan
acquired them after
American Travelways
Airlines on behalf of
the Isaan government
ordered Bangkok Air (PG)
to surrender its assets
and close its doors
forever. Isaan Air
proudly painted over the
Siem Reap Air/Bangkok
Air 717s. ATW was
able to acquire some of
the remaining additional
717 parked by defunct
Trans World Airlines.
The Boeing 717 flies the
medium haul routes
within Thailand, While
the A319 works more on
the over-water routes.

for Singapore, Macau,
